Academic Ace

Produced Faculty Members

In WWI, the term 'as de l'aviation' was invented in France to denote pilots who had shot down 5 or more ennemy planes in air-to-air combat. In academia, a team can also be called 'ace', we may presume, if it has delivered 5 or more faculty members.
Despite the modest size of our team, seven of its members have become faculty:

-Pascal Pomarède, École Nationale Supérieure d'Arts et Métiers, France. (former PhD student)
-Eric Stribling, Université des Montagnes and Arizona State University, USA. (former BS student)
-Peter McKeon, South Dakota School of Mines and Technology, USA. (former PhD student)
-Jingfei Liu, Texas Tech University, USA. (former PhD student)
-Lynda Chehami, Université Polytechnique Hauts-de-France, France. (former PostDoc)
-Jorge Antonio Cruz Calleja, Instituto Politécnico Nacional, Mexico. (former PostDoc - distant collaborator)
-Louis Satyanarayan, Georgia Institute of Technology, France. (former PostDoc)

Proud of their achievements, we believe they deserve to be listed on this Academic Ace page.
