National Center for Physical Acoustics

2004, a Sunday morning in Memphis, not far from Oxford: Breazeale, Declercq and Teklu.

The National Center for Physical Acoustics (NCPA) is on the University of Mississippi campus in Oxford, known as Ole Miss. The institute was established in 1986 and is mainly focused on the Physics of Sound. It equally serves as the Physical Acoustics Archives for the Acoustical Society of America. Declercq visited NCPA several times during his PhD and afterwards, primarily Mack Breazeale’s lab. It was the first American Institute he ever saw, and his time spent there has been an important reason for establishing a career in the USA.
