Current Position: Researcher at Institut National de la Recherche Scientifique (INRS), Montreal, Canada.

Comment: Junliang Dong was Declercq's PhD student in Mechanical Engineering with a PhD position offered on March 19, 2013. Out of solidarity with the THz team and to ignite better collaboration with that team as desired by the French CNRS, Declercq agreed to transfer the student to the THz team in Electrical Engineering, including the research grant covering half of the expenses. While a THz investigator, Junliang Dong remained in close contact with general and specific advice and remained in excellent accordance with Declercq's team. As co-advisor, Declercq had a significant impact on the thesis's nondestructive evaluation topic and this student's general success during and after his PhD. On the other hand, the experience with THz also enriched the ultrasonics lab.
