The Engineering Wave Propagation Laboratory at Georgia Tech Europe conducts fundamental and applied research on the propagation of mechanical waves in engineering systems. Our work integrates mathematical analysis, computational modeling, and experimental ultrasonics to advance the understanding of wave phenomena and to develop innovative solutions for challenges in nondestructive evaluation, advanced materials, biomedical ultrasonics, robotics, sustainability, and cultural heritage.

Research within the laboratory is guided by the conviction that scientific discovery, engineering innovation, and education are inseparable. Students, postdoctoral researchers, and visiting scholars participate directly in every stage of the research process—from the formulation of fundamental questions to theoretical development, experimental design, computational analysis, and the communication of new knowledge.

Located at Georgia Tech Europe in Metz, France, the laboratory serves as an international research environment that brings together collaborators from universities, research institutes, industry, and governmental organizations throughout Europe and beyond. Through these partnerships, we seek not only to advance engineering science but also to contribute to the development of the next generation of researchers and engineers.
