Editorial Board Memberships

Editorial service includes long-term appointments to international journals. In particular, Dr. Declercq’s membership on the Editorial Board of Acta Acustica has continued since 2011 through successive renewals, substantially exceeding the duration of a typical editorial term. As a member of the Editorial Board of Acta Acustica, Professor Declercq represents the United States within the journal's international editorial structure. In this capacity, he contributes to editorial policy and serves as a liaison between the journal and the U.S. acoustics research community, supporting international scientific communication and Diamond Open Access publishing.

Dr. Declercq’s academic trajectory has been inherently international, with appointments and professional activities spanning Belgium, France, and the United States, together with sustained collaborations throughout Europe, Asia, and beyond. As a result, his professional service has been distributed across numerous international scientific organizations, conference committees, editorial activities, and governing boards rather than concentrated within a single national professional society. Accordingly, his professional recognition is reflected primarily through sustained international leadership roles and invited service across multiple organizations, rather than through progression within the fellowship or honors structure of any one society.
